If your blog/site has been attacked by malware, then what you should do ?
Let's know-how?
If you are running a blog, then you must also know that the search engine has a lot of support to reach the site to the public or visitors.
But if while searching on the search engine, your blog address reads that "This site can harm your computer" or visit the site at your own risk, then hardly any visitor will want to visit this site or blog. If without Reading the warning if a visitor tries to open the blog, then he has to face this message. Maybe you have also encountered this message at some point.
Not only this, Google will also put your blog or site in its blacklist, and this error message will keep coming on the Internet until the blog or site is free from malware.
What should be done?
If this message is being shown on your site also, then do not be panic, it may be that you have used one of the codes or advertising service due to which this incident happened.
First of all, change the password of the blog, email, etc. Even if your password may have been hacked too.Now open Google Web Master Tools , if you have a Gmail account then you can sign in with that. Otherwise you will have to create an account on it.
Go to google search console home page:
On the Home tab, Click on add property as shown below and type or paste the URL of your blog or site. After this you will be asked to verify the ownership of your site. For which a special code will be given there.
This generated code you have to paste after the <html> <head> of your website.
After this, you have Google search Console Tools to get verified.
Now here on the home page, a dashboard will appear for your site, here you will see a lot of options, this is where you will see the "Security and Manual Action" tab, just click on it, if your site contains malware then here the URL and code of all of them will be clearly visible, which you have to remove from your website or blog, if malware is visible, then take its print out, or copy it to the computer.[If no malware then shows - No issue detected]
Now open your blog. Go to the template and open it in HTML mode. Now find and delete all those codes using Ctrl + F and save the template, once again go to Google Search Console and check whether malware is removed from all those URLs or not, if there is no malware is visible, then understand that the malware has been removed from your site
But you still have to do one thing, since the warning is still being shown by Google, even if malware was removed from websites. Do this-
For review, a request has to be sent to Google that all the malware has been removed. The malware warning will be removed after 3-4 hours of sending the request.
If you want to check whether your blog is blacklisted or not, you paste this URL in your browser and instead of the words written in red color, write the URL of your blog.It will verify whether your website is blacklisted ?
